General Information

The first International Symposium on Regional Reanalysis took place from 17 to 19 July 2018 in Bonn (Germany) organized by the Hans-Ertel-Centre for Weather Research.

With reanalysis and in particular regional reanalysis data sets getting more and more attention, the symposium provided an excellent opportunity to discuss and promote all aspects of regional reanalyses. Researchers, producers and users of regional reanalysis from 15 different countries came together and showed impressive advances in projects, methods and applications.

In light of the success of the symposium, a second prospective meeting on regional reanalysis was discussed to take place in a couple of years.
